New Pictures of the Babies

We went to Dr. Jazz on December 13th. The babies are doing well and growing like crazy. They are both measuring at 1 pound, 1 ounce right now, so that is great. As for mom, her uterus is measuring at 32 weeks already. Please say your prayers that I make it through the basketball season. They are both kicking and moving like crazy...I love all the commotion. At the ultrasound, baby A was kneeing baby B in the head and baby B was kicking baby A in the head...the doc said they look like boxers! :o) Now that the pics are so much more real to me, it's amazing how much more love you feel for them. I can't wait to meet them both. I'll put a labeled picture in with the regular pic in case it's hard to see the features.

Nursery Decisions

We changed our mind yet again. Here is the furniture and bedding we have ordered. Hopefully after Christmas and our trip to San Diego we will get going on the nursery. We are excited to make it a home for our new additions.

It continues to grow...

I have so much to update, sorry for the long delay (Jenny :o) ) Finally more pictures of the ever-growing belly. I may have to stop these soon so people will keep coming to look at the blog. :o)

The Bump Watch

And it continues to grow. Maternity pants or elastic waistbands are a must now. I can't imagine how big it will be after a great Thanksgiving Day meal on Thursday.

Parinatologist

We had our first appointment with the parinatologist on Nov. 8th. Dr. Jazz was a great guy, although he flew through the exam. He was worried about us watching the ultrasound for fear that we may be able to figure out the sexes, but no worries, I can barely pick an arm out in these u/s pics. They look like martians to me, but at least they're my little martians. I tried to lable them the best I could (put the words out to the left of the body), good luck seeing something. The only concern of the parinatologists was that the babies were a little small measuring at 5 and 6 oz. respectively. I keep trying to feed the little buggers though. Hopefully I'll have some petter pictures after our Nov. 29th or Dec. 13th visit.

Nursery Stuff...Need Help Deciding...

Well, we're starting to tackle some of the bigger stuff now knowing that I could go early. We have ordered our bedding, but it is on backorder until the middle of December. Josh is a HUGE paisley fan, so I really had him on board for this, which was nice. We couldn't find any frog bedding we liked, so we nixed the Packer/Lambeau Leap idea. Any ideas for wall color?? Also, if anyone sews, we'd like to make curtains and a closet door curtain - let me know!

We're having the most trouble choosing the furniture. We decided to go with a coffee or espresso color for the furniture. Any votes on which of these to choose?

With this set we could go with the combo chest and the 5-in-1 crib. With the bottom set we would go with the crib and the dresser. Vote today - give me some help. I can't make up my mind about anything anymore!!

First Aspirus Appointment

We got to meet our midwife at Aspirus in Wausau on October 25th. She is so great and we are so glad that we have switched hospitals. Lynn taped both babies heartbeats for us. They sound so fast to me still. Like I said in my previous post, she measured my bump at 21 cm and thought that was good so far. She also wanted to take a look at the babies, so she brought in a portable ultrasound machine. The picture is a little harder to see this time, but it was great to see them. Baby A was kicking Baby B in the head. It was pretty funny...it looks like they are starting already. She said that we will probably have an ultrasound every 4-5 weeks to keep an eye on everything. Keep praying that I make it through this entire exciting Pointer season we have coming up. It's going to be an exciting one. We will be meeting with a Parinatologist (specializes in multiple pregnancies) on November 8th for a level 3 ultrasound. Looking forward to meeting Dr. Jazz and seeing our peanuts again.

In the picture below Baby A is on top looking right at us. You can see his/her facial features, head and belly pretty well. Baby B is facing down and Doc Wilson was excited to see his/her spine so well. Hopefully we'll have some even better pics in a week or so!

It continues to grow...

My belly continues to grow. At our first appiontment with the midwife (15 weeks, 2 days) I was measuring 21 cm. already. She said that's usually what you would measure at about 20 weeks with one baby. No maternity clothes yet though - just more sweats and Nike pants at work!

It's Twins!

After our ultrasound, we found out we're having twins! When we got in there the tech started the ultrasound and said "Oh?!?" I asked what was up and she said, "There's two!" I just started laughin hysterically and uncontrollably. Josh had the biggest grin on his face. We are overwhelmed, but so excited that we are so blessed. We hope that the babies continue to be healthy and happy in there. Baby A is a measuring a little smaller than Baby B, but both have strong heartbeats. Baby B must be stealing all the good food! :o)

3 Months!!

Well, I made it through the first three months of pregnancy. I think the tiredness is slowly starting to subside. Other than that I am feeling great. The belly is starting to grow a little, but not noticeable yet.

We went for our second appointment on Monday, October 1st at 12 weeks. We heard a healthy heartbeat, which was so exciting. I felt dumb at first because I just heard a lot of static, but then it came through loud and strong. We need to go back tomorrow for a ultrasound because the doctor thought I was further along than I actually was. I'm excited to see my baby!

We're Pregnant

Josh and I found out we were expecting with a Clear Blue Easy digitial on August 8th after two consecutive days of negatives. I so wasn't expecting it to be a positive, but with my hubby still sleeping I thought, what the heck. To my surprise there it was, "Pregnant". I ran out to Starbucks to get him is favorite, a vanilla bean frappucuinio and a gift card. I cam back home and woke him up. He was very thankful for the morning jolt, but was confused as to what the gift card was for. With the pregnancy test in hand, I started jumping up and down and shouting, "Because you're going to need a lot more of these, Daddy." He couldn't read the test without contacts, so he asked if it was positive and gave me a great big hug. We were so thankful and excited about all the new changes in life.

Luckily for me, I didn't experience many symptoms. I had a little bit of nausea, but more often that not, just didn't feel right. I was extremely tired and experienced quite a bit of growth with "the girls", but other than that nothing too much.

My first appointment with the nurse was on September 5th and I didn't have much of a belly at that point.
