Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope that everyone has a SPOOKY day!

Things here are going okay. Aidan, Brody and mommy are all sick right now. Aidan and Brody have a bad cough for the last 24 hours, but don't seem too fussy yet. Mom is just flat out wore out. Long days at work and trying to keep up with everything at home has left her emotionally, physically and mentally drained. I knew it would catch up with me soon, but didn't know it would hit me this hard. The boys did good last night though, so I'm starting to feel a little better after an okay night's sleep. Brody STTN and Aidan got up at 3:30 AM and then they slept until 6:30-7:00.

Other than that, not too much is new up here. The boys are awesome...I wish I could spend more time with them. Their favorite "thing" to play with right now is Atlas! They watch him and giggle. They giggle at him when he barks, when he runs, heck when he wags his tail. They are in love with their puppy. I don't know how much he likes them grabbing at his fur, but he hasn't reacted yet...he's been great around them so that is good.

Work has kept me so busy I haven't had much time at night to keep up with my "nesting" and blogging. I hope I can do some catch up this weekend.

Well, enjoy the various "costumes" and have a scary day!

Our little stinker and monkey!
Another look at the pumpkin costumes...Josh's take on George (or Martha) Washington...that cloth diaper is covering up Aidan's new mohawk! Here's our favorite new buddy...
We LOVE our mummy!A lady mommy works with is a Jayhawks fan and bought us these t-shirts last weekend. We think they look so grown up in these pictures. Where did our tiny 4 & 5 pounders go?
Even caught Brody in a smile...All grown up...jeans...shoes...such BIG boys!

Fun Stuff

We had a nice anniversary. Josh made me dinner and bought some wine and champagne for us to drink. He put the champagne on ice a little bit before it was the boys bedtime. Let's just say the ice turned to water and the whole celebratory mood fizzled, but it was a great gesture. We'll save it for some night the boys do go down good for us.

On Friday night, we went to Chili's for dinner - YUMMY! We took the boys and they were so good. It was so nice to actually get out of the house and do something. It's been a while - well a couple of weeks anyway. We really enjoyed ourselves and the other diners enjoyed cooing and talking to the boys.

Other than that, the weekend was pretty low key. We still haven't had a repeat performance of both boys STTN...I think we will all be better off once that starts on a more consistent basis.

Last night the boys shared their first bath together. A friend from our Multiples board on The Nest shared the idea of putting them in a clothes basket if they can't quite sit up on their own yet. It worked pretty good...we just need a bigger clothes basket.
Of course...Brody is inspecting the rubber ducky...no time for pictures, MA!

Here's Aidan hard at work burning off his morning formula. I just love watching him in this thing. I have to catch him on video when he starts to jump himself to sleep. It is too funny.

Brody is always examining every toy on that exersaucer. I am shocked he doesn't have them all figured out by now, but it's still plenty of fun for him multiple times a day. He's not a jumper, but he does know his name pretty well now.

Four Years Ago Today...

...is up there as one of the best days of my life. I married my best friend...the love of my life. I am so lucky! I know there have been changes in the last four years and I know there will be many more, but my love for him will never change and that is something that makes me feel good every day. I was thinking about how life has changed as I laid in bed last night. Our first anniversary I spent alone...Josh was in Brazil for school and I was in Point coaching we lived apart for 9 months that year. Our second anniversary we were living in our house...the first anniversary in our new home. We had late practice and Kraemer made me a cake because she felt bad. I came home to a candlelight dinner at home. It was delish...so romantic. Last year was our third anniversary and I was just over 3 months pregnant with A&B. I was so tired still...came home from late practice and right to bed. He bought me my "Atlas" necklace from Tiffany's that I picked up when I was out in Vegas. And this year, I got the best present ever this morning...I shouldn't say present, but presents. I got them delivered to me in my bed and they were wrapped in sleep sacks. The best things ever - I love our boys so much. They have brought Josh and I even closer together and helped us develop a bond that we never knew before parenthood. It's the best anniversary gift I could have ever asked for...I feel so blessed to have two, healthy, beautiful baby boys in my life every day and a great husband to share forever with. Here's some of my favorite pictures from that day.

All Jumped Out

I had to post this crappy phone camera picture because it just cracks me up. I got to stay at home with the boys a few hours this morning since we have late practice tonight. I was grabbing a quick shower while Aidan and Brody were playing. This is what I found Aidan doing when I got out...what a cutie! A good friend of ours, Tony, said it best "That's what I feel like when I get done working out too!" Too funny!

A Look Back...7 Months

I cannot believe that my boys are seven months already!!! Where did the time go?? I wanted to see how they've changed, so I decided to take a look back...

O Months
1 Month Old
2 Months Old
3 Months Old
4 Months Old
5 Months Old
6 Months Old
And finally my 7 month olds. I know I'm a mom and I'm supposed to think that my kids are the cutest kids ever...but man! I can't get over how much in love I am with them. They make me smile...just the thought of them. It's been a tough transition with basketball starting, but the time I do get to spend with them is so rewarding. Enjoy!

7 Month Picture in the "Brown" chair...I wonder when we're going to get Brody to smile for the camera? They officially HATE to put on Halloween costumes...my little pumpkins
Some more 7 month pictures I took this morning...Aidan...
Brody still loves his feet...
Aidan's favorite thing right now is his jumperoo...you get tired watching him in that thing...the kid can jump for at least 45 minutes and last Thursday (10/16) he jumped himself to sleep in it.
Brody loves the exersaucer...he loves examining all the toys...always looks like he's thinking about something in that head of his. Funny thing is, when we put Brody in the jumperoo he just walks - no jumping and when we put Aidan in the exersaucer he tries to jump in it.

Part III - The Party

Sorry it has taken me a little while to finish my final post. I cannot express in words what a great weekend it was. All of my teammates will always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for all of the memories...the ones we've made together and the ones we will make together! Our night wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Final Score. Here's some pictures of the end of our special day.

Amie and I...I don't see this girl enough...MISS YOU! Tara and I...can you believe it's been 7+ years since we lived together in the dorms?
This is at the very end of the night...nice double chin, huh? Twins will do that to you!
The new Final Score Bouncers...no one is getting passed us!
My work BFF's!
Scharts and Hoota...I miss you guys!
And Jon Mayer took a little time off with Jennifer Anniston to have a drink with us.
K-Dawg and Amie...I wonder how many $2.50 Long Islands we all drank...

Hall of Fame Induction - Part II - Football Game & Banquet

Continuing on with our great weekend...a few of us had some time to meet in "Heaven" for a drink before the football game. Don't worry, it was just one drink. After that it was off to the Chancellor's Box at the UWSP Homecoming football game. Funny story...I work for her at UWSP, and she had NO clue who I was...that's what happens when you're a pee-0n (a.k.a. Asst. coach). We had fun at the game...it was pretty hot in the box though. After the game we all tried to run home and get prettied up for the banquet...took a lot of work for some of us (me!). The banquet was nice. I had the opportunity to speak on behalf of my teammates like I did for our Final Four banquet 6.5 years ago. Overall it was a great night. Unfortunately the boys got a little tired/fussy - way passed their bed time by the time the banquet was over. I only got to take one picture with them at the banquet...that was probably the biggest bummer of the night. Stay tuned...party...I mean "part" III is soon to come!

Getting our Homecoming beads...Waving as I was introduced...Kari (who amazingly had a baby like 11 days ago in this pic) was inducted as an individual too! Congrats Kari - you look amazing! There is the big Shirl right next to her too!All of us on the field..My family shot at the banquet...the only one! Thanks to all of you for coming! I love you all so much!
Here's a cropped shot of me and my great boys! I'm one lucky gal!!
The Big Shirl and I...Love her too!Mom & Dad with Brody...apparently dad and Brody watched a litlte Rambo that night!Congrats again Kari! What a beautiful family!Kelly & I...one of my work BFF, right Kel?Tara & I - Happy Birthday!
